NXP, founded in 1953 in Netherlands, was originally a company specializing in semiconductors under Philips.
NXP Renamed from Philips Semiconductors after being sold to private equity funds in 2006, providing mixed signal and standard product solutions used in smart cars, wireless architecture, lighting, industrial, mobile, consumer and computing products.
In 2015, NXP merged with FREESCALE and this is an important step for both parties to become a competitive company in high-performance mixed-signal solution. They will focus on the opportunities in the smart world and expect to exceed global average growth.
Freescale, originally in part of Motorola and was acquired by private equity funds in 2006, is a designed, developed and manufactured for a semiconductor, mainly developed and produced for automotive, internet, software/hardware for industrial and consumer markets, such as microcontrollers, microprocessors, digital signals processor, digital signal controller, sensor, radio frequency power chip and power management chip, etc.
